Facebook and Instagram ads for a fence company
Nobody scrolls Instagram hoping to find a fence company, so the ad has to do the convincing. For this trade that means a before-and-after of the same house, a 15-second clip of posts going in and the finished run, a gate close-up, or a black aluminum fence around a pool. Stock photos do not work; your own installs do. Leads come through a form at $15 to $50, cheaper than Google and softer, which means the follow-up text has to go out within a minute of the form landing.
Offers that produce estimates instead of likes: tear-out and haul-away included through a date, a free gate hardware upgrade, a spring install slot locked with a deposit, a neighbor discount within a mile of a job you just finished, or a financing payment on vinyl. "Free estimate" is not an offer; every fence company has one.
Working at day 14 looks like a cold campaign with three creatives tested, a retargeting campaign running to last year's unclosed estimates, and a cost per lead by ad that you can see. The Meta guide covers creative and seasonality.
